Built it. Scaled it. Sold it.
Now I help owners build businesses that don’t depend on them.
Coaching, systems, and structure for pest control companies ready to grow without the chaos.
About Sheri
I’m Sheri Spencer Bachman, founder of Pest Control Business Coach, and for more than 30 years I’ve dedicated my career to helping pest control businesses succeed.
Before I ever coached another owner, I was one.
I built Spencer Pest Services from the ground up into a nationally recognized PCT Top 100 pest control company. After decades of leading, growing, and strengthening the business, I successfully exited the company in 2021. Today, I use those real-world experiences to help other pest control owners build businesses that are profitable, sustainable, and capable of thriving without depending on them every day.
Why I Coach
I know what it’s like to carry the weight of every decision.
I’ve experienced the long hours, staffing challenges, operational headaches, sales struggles, and constant pressure that come with owning a growing pest control company
That’s why my coaching isn’t based on theory, it’s built on firsthand experience.
I help owners move from constantly putting out fires to building companies with strong leadership, dependable systems, healthy teams, and consistent profitability.
My goal isn’t simply to help you grow.
My goal is to help you build a business that works, even when you’re not there.
Who I Help
I primarily work with pest control companies generating between $1 million and $10 million in annual revenue who are ready for their next stage of growth.
Whether you’re struggling with leadership, sales, accountability, hiring, operations, or business systems, we’ll identify what’s holding your company back and create practical strategies that produce lasting results.
Every business is different, which is why every coaching relationship begins with understanding your goals, your team, and your vision for the future.
How I Work (Kolbe Index)
One of the biggest influences on my coaching is the Kolbe Index®.
As a Certified Kolbe Consultant, I help business owners better understand how people naturally solve problems and take action. When leaders place employees in roles that align with their strengths, communication improves, productivity increases, and teams become far more effective.
Coaching isn’t about asking everyone to work the same way.
It’s about helping every person perform at their best.
Kolbe A™: 3-5-9-2
I naturally operate as a quick-start, big-picture thinker who thrives on innovation, problem-solving, and helping business owners see what’s possible. I move quickly, challenge ideas, and help create clarity and direction—especially in areas where businesses feel stuck or overwhelmed.
Beyond Coaching
I’m honored to contribute to the pest control industry in a variety of ways beyond one-on-one coaching.
I regularly write for PMP Magazine, facilitate peer groups in partnership with PCO Bookkeepers, and speak with pest control professionals across the country about leadership, business growth, operations, and organizational development.
One of the projects closest to my heart is Pest Control for a Cure, an initiative I founded in honor of my father during his battle with cancer. It reflects something I deeply believe, that successful businesses have the power to make a meaningful impact far beyond the services they provide.
What I Believe
At the center of everything I do is one simple belief:
Businesses run better when people are clear, working in their natural strengths, and supported by the right systems.
When owners have confidence in their leadership, teams understand their roles, and proven systems replace constant firefighting, businesses become more profitable, more enjoyable to run, and far less dependent on one person.
That freedom is what I want every business owner to experience.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not coaching, my life revolves around family.
My husband Ray and I have four children, including my daughter Laura, who now works alongside me, and eight grandchildren who keep life wonderfully full, busy, and fun.
Helping family businesses succeed has always been personal for me because I know the business you build impacts every part of your life, both inside and outside of work.
My Mission
At the end of the day, my mission is simple:
To help pest control business owners build companies that truly work. Profitable, sustainable businesses with strong leaders, empowered teams, and systems that create freedom instead of dependence.
Because the business you worked so hard to build should support your life, not consume it.
My work is part of Think Wild Enterprises, where we focus on helping business owners build profitable, freedom-focused companies by aligning strategy, structure, and strengths.
